Today was actually pretty eventful. I went into Boston, but surprisingly enough it wasn't for shopping. My STAND group got to hand out flyers informing people about the presidential candidate's positions on the genocide in Darfur. And oh my god, I have a whole new respect for those people who hand out flyers. It was really windy, so my hands were frozen, and most of the people completely ignored us. But yeah... anyway... to-do list....
1. Get high-waisted pants. I made a post on these a while (okay, a week) ago but I still haven't gotten around to getting any.
2. Thrift shop more. A bunch of the blogs I read have people who find AMAZING things in thrift stores. I know I can probably find good stuff too if I look hard enough. Plus, I have this dream of finding ill-fitting mom jeans and cutting them off into awesome shorts. But the problem is, I can either go to the overpriced thrift stores in my town or St. Vincent de Paul's, which my mom hates to go to because she feels bad because all the other people there seriously can't afford to shop anywhere else. But I'll make her take me anyway....
3. Get new black tights. Pretty self-explanatory, right? My old ones are SO linty/cat-furry....
4. Learn to sew better. I have limited experience, but I want to make some cool things like jodhpurs (omg lyk so last season, I know!) and Miu Miu-esque skirts, á la Kingdom Of Style.
4. Dress more like I'm from Gossip Girl. Yes, I know, but I die over their outfits.
5. Get a job. I was offered a job at a local boutique-y store, helping with younger girl's birthday parties and doing their makeup. So I can make money, and maybe get a discount.
6. Convince my parents to move to China if I don't get into PA. Semi-joking, but yeah. It would be incredibly awesome.
