Maybe One Day You'll Understand

Don't you hate it when people say that? Anyway, Erika (her again!) and I got into a whole debate about whether or not I was a hypocrite for wearing this capelet. She then announced to my entire math class that I'm a "bunny-killer". Thanks, meat-eater. I got it in a thrift store.

Thrifted capelet. Forever 21 dress. Old Navy leggings. Wet Seal necklace. Payless heels.

This cape thing is so so warm though! Poor bunnies....

I know how you feel - I have this thrifted fox fur cape thing and when I wore it there was a lot of debate going on...most people like it, until you tell them it's real. Then there's the whole "vintage" debate, really if we don't buy them then truly that animal died for nothing so are we innocent or are we still supporting the fur trade? It is also pretty hypocritical that people who eat meat get so fired up about it, in a way because I don't imagine that animals bred and killed for meat go through a ver different process than those for fur...I could be wrong though! I'd say for your bunnies though it was worht it because that thing is amazing! Char x

animals harvested for fur have better lives than those raised for meat, otherwise their fur would not be healthy and shiny.

however, any animal killed for their pelts or meat, are killed painfully and inhumanely.

you should not wear fur. it's disgusting. vintage or not.

I eat meat. So I guess I shouldn't be talking but I will anyways lol.

I think it's wrong even if it's thrifted. It doesn't make a difference. It's still a rabbit. It doesn't make you a bad person or anything...but it's still wrong.

As a fellow vego, I agree, it's really, I don't know, I'm not sure where I stand. Everyone has to make up their own mind because we're all different. But, you wear leather shoes right? (So do I..) Do you find that different from wearing fur, even though it's really the same thing?
Currently, I couldn't wear fur, but am (mostly) happy with wearing leather shoes (yeah I find that weird, I don't really understand myself sometimes). It's all personal though.

Tell her that until she starts eating vegan and wearing fabric shoes that she's no better.

As far as fur goes, I dunno. I feel it's a little pointless NOT to wear vintage fur. That animal has been dead for probably three times as long as you've been alive, and if it's just sitting in some thrift shop you're not supporting active fur trade.
